Executive order targets faster access to VA benefits and employment opportunities
VA says a new executive order directs greater sharing of military personnel and service treatment records to reduce delays as service members transition to Veteran status. The official release also describes changes involving benefits processing, technology, and employment support.

VA announces more than $10 billion in pharmaceutical price reductions
VA says negotiated reductions help it direct resources toward Veteran care and emerging therapies. Individual prescription copayments and coverage should still be checked through VA.
Community care generally requires VA eligibility and authorization. Verify referrals, appointment details, and billing instructions before receiving non-VA care.
The PACT Act expanded health-care eligibility, added presumptive conditions and locations, and requires toxic-exposure screening for enrolled Veterans.

VA says enrolled Veterans receive an initial screening and follow-up screening at least once every five years. A screening is not the same as a compensation exam or registry evaluation.
